In recent years, the Portuguese real estate market has expanded, resulting in increasingly complex real estate transactions. These transactions involve a significant amount of documents, which must comply with regulations such as the GDPR and AML6. Access to legal services also became more difficult, requiring communication with multiple entities.
The current solution for document authentication uses traditional methods, such as manual verification and reliance on central databases, which are time-consuming and prone to errors. This document proposes a solution to simplify and guarantee security in the process of authenticating people and documents.
The proposed solution not only addresses the challenges identified in authenticating real estate documents, but it is also aligned with current trends in decentralized identity and blockchain technologies. This new method uses Polygon ID, an advanced blockchain-based identity management solution, and the principles of Web3.
Through these technologies, the proposed solution offers a transformative approach to the authentication process, improving security, trust, and efficiency.
