In this tutorial, you'll learn how to upload a contract for signature.
If the contract doesn't have an associated process, select “Create contract” on Home or from the menu. If you have already created the process, you must open it and upload the contract directly.
Select the type of contract and upload the document in the final version, as if it were signed in person, in pdf/a format (the file size limit is 5mb). If you can't find the right type of contract in the list, find out how to create a new one in the tutorial “Contract type configurator”.
If you can't upload because you don't have permissions, talk to your account administrator.
Then, define the document name and the internal reference.
Now, you must identify who you want to sign the contract. They may be those who are already present in the process or new. It guarantees that you enter all the data correctly, as these are used by us to send notifications and validate the identity of the participants and defines the location of the signature.
If you want to know more about the different types of signatures we have, watch the other tutorials in the “Contracts” category.
If you need to, you can change all the signators' data while the contract is in draft. Once you submit the contract for signature, only certain fields will be editable.
Once you confirm all the data, go for it!. Click “Submit”. All signers will be notified to proceed with the signatures.
If this is your first time using Unlockit, we recommend that you share the videos with them “How to register with Unlockit” and “Signature Experience (Customer)”.
Now, you just have to wait for the document to be signed by all the participants. You will be notified as the various participants sign, and also when the contract is concluded.
